In the renovation of the interior of this apartment, the top floor of a historic building just a short walk from Wenceslas Square in Prague, the client has expressed a desire to recover very bright and functional spaces, graceful elegance, however, that the charm of mantenessero existing environments, characterized by a decorative display of the century.
This logic has been maintained the original distribution structure, obtaining the new features within the wider environment; the original stucco were valued, retrieved the doors and antique hardware (reproduced on a design for the new doors flush with the wall built in the spaces) restored the existing flooring. The schedule of materials and finishes is essential to emphasize the light and its ripples throughout the day and the different seasons produce striking color variations. Great care and detail is dedicated to the definition of bathrooms garden, lined with fine marble Emperador, and furniture, all custom-made, giving both great continuity and fluidity of space.
