“The playgound is a familiar dimension to the finest intellects“.
| Cesare Brandi – Teoria del restauro |
The project developed for the Forte Village REsort, an exclusive tourist resort on the southern coast od Sardinia, was born out of the need to harmonize leisure and edutainment, Inspired by the principles of low enviroment impact and maximum flexibility of structires, the concept, implemented in the playground area created for the youngest guests, is made out of temporary tensile membrane canopies in recycled material, such as steel and wood. Both “Leisure Land”, a multimedia and high-tech space integrated in a porch
structure, and the “Forte Village miniclub” a complex for children based around a large square with Lab-art, an Arena and an outdoor area for play, are based on these principles. Leisure Land and Forte Village Miniclub are built on zinc-coated, bolt-assembled squared section steel profiles. The flooring is decked with Bangkirai wood and adjustable supports, fitting all ground levels. Shade is provided by steel pillars of different heights, inter-connected by stressed rods upholding a metallic support and coated with a microperforated polyster membrane.
