FUORISALONE | L’IMBANDIGIONE – still life of the italian convivium
SCENE MEDITERRANEE attends the Milan Design Week 2015 with a dedicated event on Thursday 16th of April held at Brerastore, via Fatebenefratelli 10.
The brand presents to the international public new collections of tableware, realized in collaboration with historical and qualified Italian manufacturers and master artisans, under the artistic direction of NCB Architettura. One year after its debut, SCENE MEDITERRANEE reinterprets the table as a cultural and social symbol, as rediscovery of the ancient traditions intrinsically bound to the Italian culture of décor and beauty, sharing its vision with three workshops of excellence:Enza Fasano from Grottaglie, Made a Mano from Caltagirone, Apetra from Locorotondo.
SCENE MEDITERRANEE pays homage to the writer, philosopher and great gastronome Vincenzo Corrado (1736 – 1836), through the concept of ‘Imbandigione” (preparation of the table), considered as a still life of the Italian convivium. Starting from his elaborated research and aesthetic proposal of the table set up, almost architectural and scenic, SCENE MEDITERRANEE edits some of the most traditional shapes and complements.
